For the last work package, we aim to integrate our datasets and construct a panel of candidate epigenetic and transcriptomic markers underpinning puberty in Atlantic cod.
These markers will then be tested across several Atlantic cod families which will be genotyped using a 21K SNP-array, and scanned for methylation- and gene-specific profiles.
Positive correlations between genetic, epigenetic and transcriptomic markers in Atlantic cod, will also be tested for their interspecies applicability in European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax).
